DocControl Settings

Access and configure DocControl Settings in Qlutch to effectively manage your organization’s document control environment. Adjust lifecycle defaults, folder rules, and other key settings to keep your system streamlined and compliant.

1. Navigate to DocControl:

  • From BaseCamp, click on the DocControl to access the app.

2. Access the Settings Tab:

  • At the top of your DocControl app, click on the Settings tab.
  • This switches your view from managing Folders and Documents to configuring core DocControl settings.

3. Review Available Settings:

  • Inside the Settings view, you can review and modify options that support how your organization manages Folders, Documents, Defaults, and Lifecycle preferences.
    • Workflow Action Due Date Settings: This setting determines the due date for all document-related actions (excluding Acknowledgement actions). It controls when these tasks are scheduled to be completed and how the due date is displayed to Users within Basecamp.

    • Document Status to Generate Acknowledgements: This setting defines at which document status a Document Revision Acknowledgement action will be triggered. Once the controlled document reaches the selected status, acknowledgement actions are issued. These actions do not expire and are not tied to any due date.

    • Watermark on Print: When enabled, this setting applies a watermark overlay to all printed Documents. This is commonly used to identify Draft or Controlled Documents.

4. Make Your Configuration Changes:

  • Adjust fields, defaults, and workflows as needed to align with your organization's document control policies.

5. Save and Apply Your Updates:

  • Once all settings are reviewed and updated, save your changes.
  • These will immediately take effect for your DocControl environment.
